During a climbing trip to Turkey, on a routine day, professional climber Rannveig Aamodt made a small mistake that almost cost her her life. A quick lapse of judgment resulted in a fifty foot fall. Straight down. Emergency crews evacuated Rannveig by helicopter with fractures to her back, pelvis, both ankles, and countless other injuries; both physically and emotionally. According to the doctors, she would never properly walk again, and her future surely was not going to involve climbing. Armed with hope, determination, and a beautiful perspective on life, Rannveig redirected the trajectory of her story. On September 10th, 2015, Hans Florine, along with teammates Jayme Moye and Fiona Thornewill, made his remarkable 100th ascent of the Nose route of El Capitan in Yosemite National Park, arguably the greatest rock climb on earth. ONE HUNDRED ASCENTS chronicles Florine’s record-setting feat, offering a front row seat to one of climbing’s most audacious endeavors.

In the fall of last year, the incredibly talented Kelly Delay invited me out on a trip to chase some storms in the high plains. We spent a week chasing storms in Colorado, Wyoming, and Nebraska to do some tests for an upcoming project. I didn’t even close to expect what we encountered, including 3 tornados on the ground. Here’s a little taste of some of the footage we captured. None of this is conventional timlapse. Every frame was captured on the RED Weapon at 8k with varying frame rates and shutter speeds. Color was done by the one and only Jedi master Ben Brooksby . Sound design and mix by Defacto Sound . Editing by ROKKS Media House.
